這是一本從一九九八年至二○一五年，個人的詩的編年史，中間中斷有六年之久，這些詩作因此沒有任何過渡期，直接從青年時期進入中年時期。韓波在十九世紀時曾寫「A Season in Hell」（地獄裡的一季），以此定義他寫詩時期的人生，或許《神祕的季節》要向韓波致敬的是，原來寫詩充滿神祕、推理的意涵，中斷的六年不代表人生毫無疑難雜症，而是詩亦有無能為力之處。

　　這一百二十九首詩，因此是個人的履歷，是傳記，亦是與各種神祕奮戰的痕跡，它們很平常，微小而細瑣，經常突如其來存在，是詩使這些難以形容的線索成為通向宇宙之道。
